My name is Nick Lau and I am a senior at James Madison University, originally from Marshall, VA. With an intrigue in creative work, I am most interested in roles such as social media specialist or layout designer. Regarding this program, studying in Urbino, Italy has allowed me to hone in on what aspects of content creation I want to perfect and what areas I want to begin building foundational skills for. One individual skill that Urbino has taught me is never assuming the worst before attempting your best. Transitioning this idea from a basic interaction like ordering coffee into the work I do and the communication I give will help me in every creative process. What I will tell people about this program is that it has given me an amazing opportunity to stumble and fall in an environment that simultaneously taught me how to get back up. It has gifted me with a better perception of myself, all from ordering a shot of espresso.
